American, Die. A Philip Eckstein Thriller

American, Die. A Philip Eckstein Thriller - Falko Rademacher In ‘American, Die,’ Philip finds himself caught between his conscience and what turns out to be a not-so-crazy story when a man claiming to be pursued by the NSA comes into his office. What starts off as just another job for the private detective, soon becomes a tangled web of cover-ups, spies, and government agents who won’t stop till they have Philip’s newest friend, Sam.

Falko Rademacher’s realistic and complex characters never fail to entertain, and thriller enthusiasts will not be disappointed. There is also a good amount of humor and twists that will keep you turning the pages and guessing what happens next. I found the conflicts between German and American norms that Philip faces to be highly entertaining as well, as the author brings a humorous light to the many differences between the two. Rademacher’s 'Philip Eckstein' series is one that is proving to get better with each installment, and I look forward to reading the next book!
