This was a heartbreaking story of being between life and death, and the thoughts and memories that either move us forward in life or hold us back. When 17 year old Mia gets into a car accident with her family, she ends up in a coma fighting for her life, and at the same time being able to see what is happening around her like a spirit.
Her boyfriend, Adam, shares a love for music with her and refuses to let her go. With lots of flashbacks we’re able to see their relationship as it builds up in the past, as well as Mia with her friends and family.
Though at times a bit slow and predictable, this was still an enjoyable read. I look forward to reading on to ‘Where She Went.’
