In ‘One More Day,’ Cameron Sinclair and Lainey are easily one of the most romantic couples I’ve read so far from Shirleen Davies. There is an intense and strong energy between them that just electrifies the pages. As they try to sort through their feelings for each other, there is plenty of other things going on that comes with both of them being a part of the Search and Rescue team. Along with that, Lainey has her own obstacles from her past to conquer.

An interesting book that takes on the huge topic of what goes behind the things we use everyday, and how to recreate the fundamental essentials of what we take for granted in modern society. A must-have book for Apocalyptic writers, survivalists, and the research types who enjoy a good dose of useful knowledge, whether humanity hits the end of the world, or not.
Shirleen Davies has done it again with her ‘MacLarens of Fire Mountain’ series with a powerful and touching story of the importance of family. It follows Trey and Jesse as they grow closer in their relationship, which seems to be going well until an unexpected turn hits.
‘Abigail and Her Pet Zombie: Spring’ is a wonderful new children’s story from Marie Crow, and just in time for spring! Abigail and her pet zombie are excited to see that spring has arrived and they head outdoors. Abigail finds that she has to conquer her fear of riding a bike, and her pet zombie and friends are just the help she needs.
I wasn't sure I would enjoy this book when I picked it up, but I was in for a wonderful surprise. What starts off as an interesting premise, the life of a young girl during WWII who loves books enough to go out of her way to obtain them, quickly becomes a story that you can't put down. All of the characters are charming and put through heart-wrenching circumstances that accurately reflect how life was in Germany during the war, and I was in tears more often than once. That said, there are certainly some funny and thoroughly memorable things that happen as well, and enough action to keep the story intense and in high-gear. After I finished the book I watched the movie and it too was worth every moment of my attention. This is a keeper for my own kids and grandchildren to read and watch.
